If you’re anything like us, then you love a good book boyfriend. Those angsty, mysterious, “I would lay down and die for her” types of men… We can’t explain it, but if your book contains it, we want to read it. And that’s saying a lot because I, (Mia) have a whole ass fiancé sitting beside me while I read these delicious novels. Don’t get me wrong, he is everything I want and more… but you cannot beat a perfectly created book boyfriend. Alas, we digress. You can’t get everything you read recreated real life, because well.. that sad thing we refer to as fiction.
Strong storylines, well written sentences, and good strong characters… tell us more! We always get hooked on a book within the first chapter. There have been SO many books that have been closed within 10 pages dependant upon how the writer writes the story and how they choose to display their characters.
All of these books down below are offered with the Kindle Unlimited membership for a free download, but if you don’t have the membership you can always purchase them as well. All of these novels, except one, were published in 2022, so they’re brand new releases! Regretting You by Colleen Hoover was actually published in 2018, but we did read it in 2022 as that was when it became available with the membership for a free download. Here are the best kindle romance books we’ve read so far. Happy reading!
The Absolute Best Kindle Romance Books
We’ve Read in 2022
1. The Devil You Know
Book Boyfriend Number One: Ben Tate *cue face fanning*. We have to say, Elizabeth O’Roark is definitely one of our favourite authors of all time (not just in 2022). There hasn’t been one book we didn’t completely melt over… and trust us, we’ve read everything she has to offer so far. Ben Tate is a next level book boyfriend. The chemistry between him and Gemma are incomparable! We honestly downloaded the extra chapters in his viewpoint because we couldn’t get enough of him and their love story. From their endless banter, sexy encounters, and downright swoon worthy gestures, we became easily hooked. Definitely give this book a go ASAP! If you love enemy-to-lover romances, this one is definitely for you, trust us… it’s that good. Especially when the banter is *chefs kiss*. The Devil You Know is also free to download with a Kindle Unlimited membership!

2. Brutal Vows
Book Boyfriend # 2: Spider. Yes, J. Geissinger strikes again. We don’t know how many mafia bad boys one can create… but please, don’t stop this series anytime soon. We are begging! Brutal Vows is the 4th book in the Queens & Monsters Series… and trust us, do NOT skip the first 3 and start with this one, read the others first! Spider *swoon* is just as lethal and scary as his name suggests and we are absolutely obsessed with him. He first appears in the previous book of the series, Savage Hearts, where we see him heartbroken over . He’s strong, powerful, and sarcastic as hell. And we couldn’t be more in love with his character. The relationship between him and Reyna have us going back to re-read their love story over and over again. They’re both loyal, feisty and brave as hell.

3. Stone Cold
Book Boyfriend #3: Stone. Regardless of the steamy love story between Stone and Jovie, we would recommend this book by Winter Renshaw a thousand times over just based on the plot itself. After an accidental tag on her ex-boyfriends Facebook engagement post, Jovie wakes up to a message from someone she never expected to ever hear from again, her ex-boyfriends best friend, Stone. Stone is ultimate book boyfriend material; cold, sexy, but also there for Jovie when she needs it most. Their relationship develops over time and the more we learn about the two, past and present included, we can’t help but feel like these two soulmates were fated since day 1! Absolutely adore Winter Renshaw’s Stone Cold and damn.. Stone is easily one of our favourites, hands down.

4. Things We Never Got Over
Book Boyfriend #4: Knox. Oof, arrogant ass right off the bat (just how we like them!). In Things We Never Got Over, Knox is guarded and abrasive, and rightfully so. Naomi’s twin sister Tina is the devil reincarnated and Knox knows a thing or two about her evil schemes. From the moment they meet, Knox and Naomi couldn’t resist getting under each others skin… constantly bickering, engaging in stare-downs, but they also couldn’t keep away. It’s hot, it’s epic, and it ties in perfectly with how much they feel for one another. Trust us, this is a love story you don’t want to miss out on.

5. The Difference Between Somebody and Someone
Book Boyfriend #5: Bowen. Omigod, this is such a whirlwind romance. Aly Martinez does it again with her The Difference Trilogy, I cannot express my love and devotion for this author. She kills it Every. Single. Time. Easily one of my absolute favourites! Bowen and Remi have the ultimate love story and I don’t want to ruin a single line from the trilogy, so take this very important detail: if you end up reading one book from this entire list, PLEASE MAKE IT THIS ONE! Bowen is the true book boyfriend, he’s caring, strong, loyal and patient. Ohmygoodness…. His patience! I swear this book tore at my heart strings and had me begging for more. And if you love mystery and thrillers… this is oozing with that too.

6. Flawless: A Small Town Enemies to Lovers Romance
Book Boyfriend #6: Rhett Eaton. Country romances are definitely up there easily as one of our favourite sub-genres. Ok, we have to state this right away… Rhett and Summer’s chemistry is incomparable. Rhett, a professional bull rider is known for his sexy smirk and celebrity-playboy status. Enter Summer, his agents daughter who gets to play his very own “professional babysitter” to help clean up his image and keep him in line. From chapter one we knew their love story was going to be one for the books! Every line, every detail, every push and pull… incredibly crafted. We also CANNOT get over Summer’s dad Kip, his witty remarks and the part he plays in their journey. We are still swooning over this one. Thank you Elsie Silver for giving us Rhett and Summer’s story in Flawless, it’s obvious as to why it made our best kindle romance books list.

7. The Plan: A Fake Dating Sports Romance
Book Boyfriend #7: Erik Wilder. Football? Check. Personal bodyguard? Check. Broody mountain man? Check. Check and Check! Karla Sorensen has easily worked her way deep into our heart. We can always count on her sports romance novels to give us a good dose of romance. Erik Wilder, retired football player who resents his life, ends up becoming Lydia’s bodyguard, much to both of their dismay. This unlikely duo end up falling helplessly in-love with one another after their fake dating rouse takes off. We absolutely love how easily these two fell for one another and how steamy the chemistry was. We’re still fanning ourselves over here! The Plan? 10/10!

8. Meet Me Halfway
Book Boyfriend #8: Garrett. We think it’s safe to say, this book is unforgettable. And that’s not saying enough considering we still have it sitting in our Kindle Unlimited bookshelf even though we finished it over 4 months ago. We’re just waiting upon Lillian T. James’ next release in the series. Madison and Garrett start off as enemies in Meet Me Halfway and we couldn’t be more obsessed with the slow-burn, carefully constructed love story between the two. The constant bickering, but obvious interest from both parties got us hooked by the first chapter. We love how much Garrett truly cares about Madison and how their love story evolves by each chapter. Love, love and love!

9. The Dirty Truth
Book Boyfriend #9: West Maxwell. Ugh, we love a good billionaire boss romance. The best part about this one? Not only is the billionaire West Maxwell a complete and utter jerk from page one, but Elle doesn’t put up with it. There’s nothing like a strong, independent female lead who can dish it just as good as her counterpart/love interest. West and Elle’s chemistry is off the charts and recognizable from the first page and as we get deeper into the story, it has been around from the beginning. We love how well both their characters changed throughout and their love became more evident. The Dirty Truth was definitely a little dirty and steamy. Winter Renshaw killed it, again. But who even doubted her, right? Not us.
